Wayne Williams
Trainee Therapist
Hi, my name is Wayne.
I am a counsellor in training, currently studying my final year of the Level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling at Tameside College.
I have worked in a number of areas offering counselling to adults and young people and have supported my clients with a number of difficulties including anxiety, loss, separation, low mood and bereavement.
What I offer . . .
I work offering a person centred approach, where I will endeavour to understand your experience from your perspective.
I promise to offer you acceptance in a safe, non-judgemental space to enable you to explore what has brought you to counselling.
Background
I have worked within a military setting and within the fitness and coaching industry as well as with children and young people. I am a qualified personal trainer, fitness coach and teach PE in schools. Through this role I developed my passion to support the emotional health of the people I work with as well as their physical health.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I work in accordance with their high standards and ethical guidelines. I have a current enhanced DBS certificate, safeguarding training, insurance, and I attend monthly supervision, which supports me to provide the best service to my clients.
I look forward to working with you.
