Community Counselling Service

From time to time we all face challenges in life and finding the right support isn’t always easy.

Community counselling service exists to provide affordable access to a managed counselling service for individual adults in the Oldham and Rochdale area. The service is focused on supporting our clients and helping them move forward.

Staffed by mature students often in their fourth year and final stages of training to becoming fully qualified therapist. Our service is overseen by a qualified and experienced supervisory therapist.

As a community service we work hard to ensure fees are as affordable as possible helping reduce the barrier to those looking for support. All counselling session are charged at a flat rate of £25.00

We provide a non-judgemental space for you to talk in confidence, to help you better understand yourself and support you in your journey.

We understand that talking about your feelings and concerns isn’t always easy, our therapists will not judge, instead they will take the time to get to know you, listen to your feelings and experiences and help you find ways to work through them.

People come to counselling for many reasons, such as…

  • lIssues within relationships (partners, family, friends, colleagues)
  • lMental health such as depression, anxiety or stress
  • lFeelings of isolation and loneliness
  • lAdapting to life changes such as moving home, jobs or changing relationships
  • lHealth and wellbeing challenges including fertility issues, menopause or living with a chronic health condition
  • lTraumatic situations such as domestic abuse, grief and loss and shame
  • lIssues around identity such as coming out, acceptance of sexuality and confidence
  • lFacing discrimination based on sex, gender, race, religion or sexuality
